Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) Chairman Lin Join-sane is leading a delegation to China for a four-day trip.
Lin left on Tuesday and will meet his Chinese counterpart Chen Deming on Thursday. Chen is the head of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS). SEF and ARATS are semi-official bodies in charge of cross-strait exchanges in the absence of official ties.
During his trip, Chen will also visit Taiwanese-owned companies and meet with Taiwanese businessmen stationed in Hangzhou and Ningbo, the two largest cities in Zhejiang province.
