Forty percent of Taiwanese employers are planning to hire new staff in the fourth quarter. That’s up by 1 percentage point quarter-over-quarter and 4 percentage points year-over-year.
Taiwan’s bright outlook puts it in second place in the Asia Pacific region. That’s according to a survey relased by the US-based human resource consulting firm, Manpower Group on Tuesday.
Employers in the finance, insurance and real estate sectors report the most optimistic outlook. Over half of them, 53%, are planning to hire.
Forty percent of employers in the wholesale and retail trade sector are planning to hire. That’s up by 11 percentage points from the previous quarter.
