Taiwan 29th on list of World’s Most Reputable Countries
Go Taiwan!

Taiwan has placed 29th on the Reputation Institute’s 2014 list of “The World’s Most Reputable Countries”.

The Reputation Institute released its latest list on Thursday. The institute is a global consulting firm based in New York and Copenhagen and has released a new edition of the list annually for the past five years. This year’s list measured international opinions of 55 countries with the largest GDP around the world.

The rankings are based on online surveys with 57,000 people in 20 countries. They were asked three questions about their feelings toward, admiration and trust of each country.

Taiwan ranked fifth among the Asian nations on the list, behind Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Switzerland placed at the top of the list, pushing three-time winner Canada into second place. Third is Sweden, followed by Finland and Australia. Rounding out the top 10 are Norway, Denmark, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Germany. The United States is at 22nd.
