The MV Logos Hope, the ship that carries the largest floating book fair in the world, has docked in the southern city of Kaohsiung for the very first time.
The ship is operated by the German Christian charity group, Good Books for All (GBA) Ships. It arrived in Kaohsiung on Saturday, bringing 5,000 different books and hundreds of volunteers. The books cover titles in the fields of science, sports, cuisine, art, philosophy, and language. Children’s books, dictionaries, and maps are also on offer.
Over the past 40 years, ships operated by GBA Ships have visited more than 160 countries and received 40 million visitors on board.
The ship will be open to visitors in Kaohsiung till Sept. 24 and then it will make a port call to Tainan.
