The CEO of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), Dwight Venner, is in Taiwan. The foreign ministry in Taipei says the visit will strengthen financial ties between Taiwan and Caribbean nations.
Venner has served as CEO of the bank since 1989. The foreign ministry says that during his tenure he has worked to publicize Taiwan’s development assistance to its allies in the Caribbean.
The ECCB is the financial hub for the six countries and two territories that use the common regional currency, the East Caribbean Dollar.
