Taiwanese tennis player Hsieh Su-wei has announced that she will be working with a new doubles partner: Sania Mirza from India.
Earlier this month, Hsieh wrote on her Facebook page that she’s been in very poor condition this year. She said that her partner since 2009, Peng Shuai from China, has been affected by her poor performance.
Nevertheless, Hsieh said she is happy that she and Peng achieved the No. 1 ranking and won the French Open women's doubles title earlier this year.
The 28-year-old Hsieh will begin working with her new partner in the 2015 season. That means that the BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore will be the last time that Hsieh plays with Peng. Hsieh said she wished Peng success in her ongoing efforts in women's singles.
The Women’s Tennis Association has listed Sania Mirza as India’s best ranked female player, both in singles and doubles, from 2003 through 2013.
