Taiwan's Lin Tzu-chi set two world records and won a gold medal in the women's under-63kg weightlifting event at the Asian Games on Tuesday.
The gold was Taiwan's second at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
Lin lifted a combined 261 kilograms in the snatch and clean & jerk to set a new world record in the weight category.
The 26-year-old Taiwanese also set a world record of 145 kilograms on her final try in the clean & jerk. Lin knocked Deng Wei of China out of the lead in the competition.
Taiwan's first gold also came in women's weightlifting and was won by Hsu Shu-ching in the under-53kg category.
Meanwhile, President Ma Ying-jeou sent a congratulatory message to Lin Tzu-chi on Tuesday.
