Taiwan is set to send officials to participate in this year's US-Taiwan Defense Industry Conference in Virginia in early October. The two sides will discuss Taiwan's national security plans, indigenous submarine programs, and bilateral security cooperation.
The annual conference, now in its 13th year, is slated for Oct. 5-7. The conference’s organizer, the US-Taiwan Business Council, says the event will focus on defense and military cooperation, as well as on Taiwan's future defense and national security needs.
