Jeremy Lin throws opening pitch for Dodgers
"Nice ball!"

Taiwanese-American NBA player Jeremy Lin threw the opening pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers in LA on Saturday. It was the latest in a series of public appearances since he joined the LA Lakers.

Lin was wearing a Dodgers jersey numbered 17, which is the same number he uses with the Lakers. He threw out the ceremonial first pitch to applause from spectators, and it won praise from Dodger Stadium commentators, who called it a “nice pitch.”

Lin got a little practice with the Dodgers ahead of their game against the Colorado Rockies. He also went on Twitter to ask for tips from fellow Laker Nick Young, who US media said had thrown the worst first pitch at a Dodgers game last year. The pitch went too high and ended up getting stuck in the backstop netting.

Lin is set to join in a pre-season training camp with the Lakers next week.
