The Kyushu National Museum is going to start a 2-month exhibit of works from Taiwan’s National Palace Museum on October 7. Premier Jiang Yi-huah will lead a delegation to attend the opening ceremony.
The National Palace Museum lent some of its works to the Tokyo National Museum, but there was a major controversy over some of the promotional posters. The word “national” was left out in the name of Taiwan’s museum. The National Palace Museum has told the Kyushu museum they don’t want to see the same problem happen again.
National Palace Museum spokesman Jin Shi-xian explained.
"The Kyushu National Museum responded to us," said Jin.
"They’ve already told all of the co-sponsors and media about this and will not let the same thing happen again. I’ve also asked the Fukuoka representative office, and they said there is no problem with this. There are no posters that do not have the word “national” in the museum title."
The popular meat-shaped stone is going to be a part of the upcoming exhibit. But the exact timing of when it will be sent there is currently top secret.
Japan’s exhibits of art from the National Palace Museum are the first time these pieces have been displayed in other countries in Asia. In Tokyo, 400,000 people attended the recent 3-month exhibit. The upcoming exhibit in Fukuoka is also expected to attract a lot of visitors.
