The overseas Taiwanese community in Sao Paulo, Brazil celebrated the Republic of China’s National Day on Sunday. The Republic of China is Taiwan’s official name and its National Day falls on October 10.
Diabolo Dance Theater from Taiwan performed for the community to much acclaim. The representative of Taiwan’s Economic and Cultural Office in Sao Paulo thanked the performers for bringing their innovative take on traditional Taiwanese dance to Brazil.
The theme of their creative and high-tech dance performance is "Celebration of the Ocean". Diabolo Dance Theater is currently on a tour of Central and South America, bringing their unique high-tech style of traditional dance performances to overseas Taiwanese communities during the National Day holiday.
