More than 400 foreign dignitaries are scheduled to attend upcoming events in Taipei to celebrate Taiwan’s National Day.

The foreign ministry made the announcement on Thursday, one day before the country’s national day.

Paraguay’s President Horacio Cartes, Burkina Faso’s President Blaise Campaore, Honduras’s Vice President Lorena Enriqueta Herrera Estévez, and Panama’s first day Lorena Isabel Castillo de Varela are among the guests who will attend the celebration in the plaza in front of the Presidential Office Friday morning.

Delegations of lawmakers from the United States, Japan, and Scotland will also attend the celebrations.

A National Day reception will take place at the Taipei Guest House. The foreign ministry said the dishes to be served will present a mixed flavor of Hokkien, Hakka, and indigenous food.
