Website sleepinginairports.net has awarded Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport fifth place in its rankings of Asia’s best airports to sleep in.
The website releases an updated list of the world’s most restful airports every year in October. Rankings are based on votes from travelers. In addition to a global list, the website also publishes rankings of airports by region.
Taoyuan Airport moved up one place from last year in the Asian rankings. Travelers praised the airport’s friendly staff, free shower facilities for travelers in transit, free wi-fi, and the array of gourmet foods available at the airport.
Holding on the title of best airport in the world was Singapore’s Changi Airport, which has been in the website’s number one spot for 18 years running.
