LA Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin scored 15 points in the pre-season game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. But the Lakers lost 114-108.
Lin hadn’t played for the Lakers since their second exhibition game on October 9 against the Golden State Warriors. Lin had missed the previous three games due to a sprained left ankle.
Lakers coach Byron Scott started journeyman point guard Ronnie Price against the Suns. Kobe Bryant scored 27 points in the game and Steve Nash didn’t play due to back problems.
Lin has a big fan base in Taiwan and a 5-minute YouTube commercial featuring Jeremy Lin as a salesperson at a sports store in Taiwan received 1 million views the first day it was released. It features Lin disguised with a wig, glasses and make-up and acting as a salesperson. Hardly anyone he tried to sell shoes to recognized him.
