The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Thursday that a working holiday agreement with Slovakia has officially taken effect.
Taiwan will now allow 100 Slovak nationals to come to Taiwan on a working holiday every year. In return, the Slovak government will also allow 100 Taiwanese nationals to go on a working holiday in Slovakia every year. Applications for the annual exchange are now open to nationals of the two countries between the ages of 18 and 35.
Slovakia is the first Central European country to implement a working holiday agreement with Taiwan.
