Shares in Taiwan closed lower Tuesday as market sentiment turned cautious about movement on Wall Street ahead of the U.S. midterm elections scheduled to kick off later in the day.
Taiwan shares closed down 15.68 points, or 0.17 percent, at 8,989.18.
