Shares in Taiwan bounced back Thursday from a plunge the previous day, as local suppliers to Apple Inc. benefited from bargain hunting.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 61.72 points, or 0.69 percent, at the day's high of 8,980.67.
