Taiwan and Germany have increased the quotas for their reciprocal working holiday programs. Now each side will allow 300 people per year to participate. That’s the word from the foreign ministry on Monday.
Germany was the first European country to enter into a working holiday agreement with Taiwan. A joint statement signed by the two countries in 2010 allowed an annual quota of 200 citizens aged 18-30 to travel and work in the other country for up to 12 months.
According to the foreign ministry, the two sides decided to increase the number because of the growing popularity of the program.
