Taiwan shares drop amid election uncertainty

Shares in Taiwan closed lower Tuesday as there was an atmosphere of uncertainty due to the approach of local government elections slated for Nov. 29.

Taiwan shares closed down 6.09 points, or 0.06 percent, at 9,116.24 on Tuesday.
