Plans for a third terminal at Taoyuan International Airport have passed an environmental impact assessment. That’s the word from the transportation ministry on Wednesday.
The process of designing the third terminal of Taiwan’s biggest airport will start next year. Construction will begin in 2018 and is scheduled for completion by 2021.
The Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is expected to receive more than 33 million passengers this year. The third terminal is expected to increase the airport’s annual capacity to 45 million people.
