Taipei Mayor-elect Ko Wen-je went with his team to visit Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin and facilitate the transition of governance of city affairs. Mayor Hau welcomed him and said the city government had been preparing for this for a month. They have 60 areas of transition work organized and the deputy mayor will be in charge of the details of the transition.
"All of the development projects and meeting minutes will be handed over," said Hau.
"We will relay to new city officials all we know so the new mayor and his team can know what has been going on. They will see that the rumors that have been going around are not true."
Ko said the city is very organized and that he came to build channels of communication.
"This city government is very organized," said Ko.
"The main purpose today is to build a channel of communication between the two sides. The details can be worked out later."
Ko said the city bureau heads and other officials will be put on a list of potential candidates and he would keep personnel changes to a minimum.
