Shares in Taiwan closed sharply lower Wednesday as market sentiment was dampened by losses suffered by other regional markets amid fears over further fund outflows from the region.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 96.74 points, or 1.05 percent, at 9,032.16.
