Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) and its Mainland counterpart, the Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO), have discussed ways to promote cross-strait media exchanges.
The MAC said Friday that promoting news media exchanges with China has become an important part of its cross-strait policy. The MAC said it aims to bring Taiwan’s press freedom to China.
At a summit on cross-strait media exchanges held Wednesday in China’s Fujian Province, TAO spokeswoman Fan Liqing gave three recommendations for cross-strait media cooperation, including looking for ways to integrate traditional and new media.
