Shares in Taiwan took a beating Wednesday as selling focused on large-cap stocks across the board. That was amid fears that foreign institutional investors will continue to unload their holdings.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 122.55 points, or 1.36 percent, at 8,828.36.
