Taiwanese fashion designer Jason Wu’s work was seen on the red carpet at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. Hollywood actress Michelle Monaghan wore a metallic beaded slip gown from Jason Wu’s 2015 pre-fall collection. She was nominated this year for Best Supporting Actress for her work on the HBO drama, True Detective.
Jason Wu was born in Taiwan and later immigrated to Canada. He shot to fame in 2009 when he created a white gown for US First Lady Michelle Obama. In 2013, Mrs. Obama again chose to wear one of Wu’s designs, that time for her husband’s second inauguration.
