Taiwan’s exports will grow by 3.58% this year. That’s the word from the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) on Wednesday.
TAITRA Chairman Francis Liang said on Wednesday that Taiwan’s export growth outpaced that of South Korea, Singapore, and Japan in 2014.
Liang also said TAITRA will adopt a number of strategies to help ensure Taiwan’s export growth meets this year’s target of 3.58%.
TAITRA will hold a number of events to help create business opportunities in the emerging Indian and Indonesian markets. TAITRA will also train Taiwanese businessmen in the Vietnamese and Indonesian languages to help companies break into the growing markets of Southeast Asia.
TAITRA also plans to promote Taiwanese brands in China through a series of six exhibitions this year. TAITRA will also be working through the Enterprise Europe Network to match small and medium enterprises in Taiwan with European partners.
