Shares in Taiwan closed up Wednesday above 9,300 points as foreign institutional investors bought in the spot market in a bid to make profits in the futures market.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange ended up 68.02 points, or 0.73 percent, at the day's high of 9,319.71.
