Shares in Taiwan extended gains Thursday from a session earlier as investors embraced hopes that the European Central Bank will further ease its monetary policy to stimulate the Eurozone economy.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 49.80 points, or 0.53%, at 9,369.51.
