Taiwan and China are set to begin their 7th round of talks on economic cooperation on Thursday in Taipei. That’s the word from the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) on Monday.

The SEF is a semi-official organization entrusted by Taipei to handle exchanges with China in the absence of official ties.

The SEF and its Chinese counterpart, the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS), are planning to look into the implementation of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) the two sides signed in June, 2010. Topics of discussion will include trade in goods and services, investment, solutions to disputes, as well as industry and customs cooperation.
