Facebook, the world’s largest social network, will set up a small team in the Hsinyi district of Taipei to better support Taiwanese businesses.
Facebook’s vice president for the Asia-Pacific region, Dan Neary said that Taiwan is an important market for Facebook. Neary said that he hopes his company will be able to help Taiwan’s big and small businesses grow locally and regionally.
Facebook said that its top priority in Taiwan will be in educating and helping businesses to understand and reap the benefits of the Facebook platform.
Head of Facebook’s division for Greater China, Jayne Leung, said that the Taiwan office will increase the level of support for Taiwanese clients and agencies.
