Outgoing National Development Council Minister Kuan Chung-ming has said that he is confident in his successor’s abilities. Speaking on Friday, Kuan said that his replacement, Minister Without Portfolio Woody Duh, has a great deal of experience with economic matters, and will be able to take over immediately.
Kuan said that his decision to resign stemmed from a general frustration with the political situation.
Kuan was the National Development Council’s first minister, taking office when the council was established in January last year. His replacement, Woody Duh, has filled as head of a number of different ministries, including the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
