The Cabinet is planning to hold a design competition to improve Taiwan’s government websites. That’s the word from Vice Premier Chang San-cheng on Monday.
Chang made the announcement at a computer seminar. He said that winning entries will be used to improve government websites so that they are more engaging and user-friendly.
“We hope that winners can authorize us to use their designs or transfer the whole system to us. We will set aside funding for a cash reward to encourage the public to design better websites,” said Chang.
Chang says the National Development Council will conduct an evaluation of government websites. Agencies that do a poor job will be asked to improve their websites.
