Microsoft announces completion of Taiwan AI research center
Microsoft's AI research center is completed.

Microsoft has announced the completion of the AI research center in Taiwan. The announcement on Friday coincided with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Microsoft in Taiwan.

President Tsai Ing-wen praised Microsoft for constant global achievements. Tsai also said the company has made several new investments in Taiwan in recent years.

Tsai said that AI has grown from a less than user-friendly technology to become a big part of ordinary life.

Tsai said, "Besides technology as the key to developing artificial intelligence, there is another very important factor and that is the power of imagination. The development of AI is a great thing for young Taiwanese who have grown up in a democratic and free environment. So I am confident that Microsoft’s decision to establish an AI research hub in Taiwan must have been the best choice."

The AI center says it has so far recruited more than 100 employees.
