Taiwan's men's gymnastics team has qualified for the Olympics. That's after they achieved a score of 250.093 at the 2019 World Artistics Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. Their score was 12 points higher than last year. Taiwan ranked eighth among the 25 participating teams in the team qualifiers and will advance to the final round.
The team will be able to send four of their members to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.Members of Taiwan men's gymnastics team include Su Ping-Chuan, Lee Chih-Kai, Shiao Yu-Jan, Tang Chia-Hung and Yu Chao Wei.
This week, 16-year old Ting Hua-tien also qualifed for the Summer Olympics through the same event. She is the first Taiwanese female gymnast to qualify for the Olympics since Hong Tai-kwai and Yu Mai-lee competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
