Taiwanese horror film screened at film festival in London
“Deep Evil

Taiwanese horror film “Deep Evil” was screened at the London East Asia Film Festival on Tuesday. The film was released in Taiwanese theaters earlier this year.

“Deep Evil” tells the stories of characters including a police officer, a forensic scientist, and a plastic surgeon, and their intertwined involvement in a brutal murder case. The film was highly acclaimed earlier this year at the Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival. In addition to critical acclaim, it also proved popular at the box office, released as it was during Taiwan’s traditional “ghost month”.

“Deep Evil” is one of several Taiwanese films set to screen at this year’s London East Asia Film Festival. Others include psychological drama “Nina Wu” and “Millennium Mambo”, a classic love story directed by award-winning director Hou Hsiao-Hsien in 2001.
