President Tsai Ing-wen is set to announce her running mate for the 2020 election in the coming days. That’s according to Ruan Jhao-syong, a spokesperson for Tsai’s 2020 reelection campaign.
Tsai is the last of the declared 2020 candidates to name a running mate. Despite speculation that she will pick primary rival William Lai as her running mate, she has so far kept quiet about who she is considering. Campaign spokesperson Ruan Jhao-syong repeated Tsai, saying that the announcement will come when the time is right.
