Premier Su Tseng-chang is taking leave to rest and address recent health concerns. Su went to a hospital Saturday night after reportedly feeling unwell. There, doctors diagnosed him with fatigue and a viral infection. Su’s daughter, DPP lawmaker Su Chiao-hui, says that the premier has decided to take leave at his family’s request.
Cabinet spokesperson Kolas Yotaka confirmed Monday that Su has taken leave, and that he will be cutting back on his schedule. However, she said that Su will return to preside over any Cabinet meetings. For now, Kolas Yotaka says that Su’s schedule will be limited to indoor activities.
