A Taiwanese-donated UH-1H helicopter crashed in Paraguay. The helicopter in question was one of two donated by defense minister Yen De-fa during a visit to the South American ally in 2008. The Ministry of Defense says that it will fully cooperate and assist with the investigation into the crash.
At the time of the crash, there were 12 crew members on-board, all of which managed to get away with minor injuries.
The UH-1H helicopter lost power shortly after taking off and crashed into a nearby factory. The wreckage spread into the residential areas nearby. Paraguayan officials say that the damages total some $60 million USD.
