Popular French travel show Échappées Belles recently filmed in Xiaoliuqiu Island, off the coast of Taiwan’s southernmost county, Pingtung. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau and the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration introduced the film crew to many environmentally friendly aspects of the island.
Each person from the show was instructed to rent reusable utensils, dishware, and bottles from island administration. The crew stayed at an environmentally-friendly hotel, and was introduced to the island’s many plastic-reducing initiatives.
