Taiwan’s representative offices around the globe have made major contributions in promoting investment from abroad.
The foreign ministry released figures Wednesday showing that Taiwan’s representative offices brought in over US$330 million in foreign investment during the third quarter.
Ministry officials say that Taiwan’s representative offices have also arranged more than 1,000 meetings between Taiwanese and foreign trade officials and industry experts. In addition, they say the offices have helped arrange seminars and exhibits to attract skill labor.
The foreign ministry says it will ask representative offices to further explore opportunities for trade and business collaboration with other countries.
