The Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, a children’s welfare NGO, is calling on educators to pay more attention to children’s safety.
At a press conference Wednesday, members of the NGO highlighted a number of incidents involving children. They said two of these incidents involved physical abuse by parents or guardians.
The NGO also published the results of a new survey in which 57% of respondents said the issue of child abuse in Taiwan is as bad as ever ,and 76% said they don’t believe Taiwan is safe enough for children.
