People who flocked to a salt field in Tainan were treated to a magnificent view of the final sunset of 2019. Many people in Taiwan like to bid farewell to a year by watching the sun go down on the final day of the year.
The Jingzaijiao Salt Fields in Tainan is a popular spot for watching sunsets. On the final day of the year, the location drew crowds of visitors hoping to catch the very last sunset of 2019. Mobs of people began pouring into the fields in the afternoon, hoping to find a good spot. Even though the weather was cloudy and rainy earlier that day, Mother Nature was kind. The sun shined brilliantly in Tainan as it went down over the horizon for the last time in 2019.
Unfortunately, those hoping to catch the final sunset at Cijin in Southern Taiwan’s Kaohsiung were not so lucky. On the final day of 2019, northeasterly winds brought thick clouds into the area, blocking out the sun. Though visitors couldn’t see the final sunset of the year, they were still treated to performances by jazz bands and singers on the beach.
