What do you do with an old, disused movie set? A Taiwanese TV drama director has found an answer to this question.
An old movie set features houses and street scenes of the 1950s and 60s, perfect for shooting a period piece. But this old set in central Taiwan is now being put to a new use.
The set has been around for 19 years, but fell into disuse. Instead of demolishing it, though, Taiwanese director Feng Shing-hua has decided to turn it into a cultural park so that people can enjoy its historic atmosphere.
Visitors can put on colorful traditional costumes and perform a skit or two just for fun. Feng himself may even play the role of director. Do your best: he might just be on the lookout for talented actors to star in his next TV drama series.
To promote the place, admission was free during the run up to the Lunar New Year holiday.
