The Chinese-Taipei women’s under-18 ice hockey team snatched a gold medal at the 2020 International Ice Hockey Federation U-18 Championships in Finland. Chinese-Taipei is the official name of Taiwan’s sports teams in international competitions.
The team faced-off against Australia in the group round final on Wednesday. Chinese-Taipei was down two-to-three entering the final period. However, the team managed to score two goals to edge out their opponents.
This marked a third straight victory for Chinese-Taipei at the tournament after they defeated Finland and Kazakhstan.
