The Central Epidemic Command Center on Sunday announced measures to restrict medical personnel from traveling abroad. The health ministry has invited hospitals to a meeting on Tuesday to discuss details about the restriction.
The center says the ban applies only to frontline medical personnel employed in hospitals nationwide. It also said that it would be a temporary measure to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.
The center says there’s already a shortage of medical staff, and it cannot afford to quarantine medical personnel for 14 days if they return from an outbreak zone.
