Taiwanese tennis player Hsieh Su-Wei, and her partner, Czech player Barbora Strycava, have advanced to the women's doubles quarterfinals at the Qatar Total Open 2020.
The pair squared off against Sofia Kenin from the United States and Swiss player Belinda Bencic on Thursday. Hsieh and her partner overwhelmed their opponents, winning two straight rounds.
The latest win has brings Hsieh’s record in women’s doubles to 16 wins and just one loss so far this year. The win further solidifies her ranking as the second best women’s doubles player in the world after Kristina Mladenovic from France.
The Qatar Total Open is a hard court women’s tennis tournament, currently underway in the city of Doha. It is scheduled to run through February 29.
