Taiwan has announced a new case of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 41. The Central Epidemic Command Center made the announcement on Monday.

The newly confirmed individual is a woman in her 20s whose mother tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday.

The young woman does not have any symptoms of discomfort, nor has she traveled to affected countries. It’s thought that she contracted the disease while caring for her mother in a hospital in mid-February.
