Taiwan announced eight new cases of COVID-19 on Monday – the largest single-day rise in the number of cases. That brings the total to 67.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) says that all of the new cases are imported from overseas. Four of the new cases are related to cases announced on Sunday. Their travel history included visits to Turkey and Egypt.
Three of the new cases included people with travel history to Italy, Greece, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Spain. The final case traveled to the Philippines.
