Taiwan confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases it has recorded so far up to 379.
Two of the new cases are imported. The patient in one case had recently returned from studying abroad in Spain, while the patient in the other case had recently been visiting relatives in Indonesia.
The third new case is domestic in origin. Health authorities are working to identify the source of infection in this case. They have also identified 21 people who have recently come into contact with the patient in this third case. These include family members of the patient and medical workers.
