It has now been six days since the last report of a new COVID-19 case in Taiwan and a full month since the last case of local transmission. The government’s Central Epidemic Command Center said Wednesday that the total number of cases Taiwan has recorded so far still stands at 440.
However, the center also reports that one of the 129 people evacuated from India on a recent charter flight has been sent for medical attention after developing respiratory symptoms. The center says the other passengers aboard the charter flight remain in quarantine.
